What You’ll Hear:
Today’s reflection is a friendly reminder to all women to take care of yourself.
- Eat well, not just to lose weight, but to honor your body and to feel well.
- Stay hydrated because water flushes out the junk in our system and keeps us from feeling down and tired.
- Sleep seven to eight hours a night. Yes, yes, I said seven eight hours a night. That means you must be vigilant about your bedtime routine. You’ll be less cranky and kinder to everyone, including yourself.
- Get regular exercise. It’s good for the mind and the body and spirit. It doesn’t have to be an hour nor must be every day. Just have a regular schedule of movement that brings up your heart rate and makes you sweat. You’ll feel stronger.
- And take quiet time with the Lord for at least 15 minutes a day. The only sure cure I know for every worry and frustration I’ve had.
I know these are not new!
I know you’ve heard them before, but you need to hear them again.
Take care of yourself.
Improve your mind by nurturing a new skill a hobby, reading a good book, if only for 15 minutes a day.
Crack a silly joke.
Send a funny gift to a friend or your husband or an adult child.
Laugh.
Take care of yourself.
Look at your household to do list and delegate. Don’t take responsibility for everything in the home.
Don’t give in to feeling sorry for yourself.
Let go of control.
Every tool must be sharpened. Take time to sharpen.
It’s not selfish. It’s smart.
You’ll be a better woman, wife and mother.
Take the time to take care of yourself.
