Method
To Make a Freezer Meal
- Place beef roast in freezer ziplock bag. Place the rest of the ingredients in the bag. Close securely. Freeze up to 3 months.
- When ready to use, thaw overnight in the refrigerator or put sealed bag with contents in a bowl or sink of warm water for 20-30 min.
To Cook
- **Optional - place slow cooker liner in crock pot to eliminate extensive clean up
- Place contents in the slow cooker, cover, and cook on low 8-10 hours or high 4-5 hours.
- While still warm, remove roast from slow cooker, and shred with forks. Return meat to slow cooker and immerse in the broth/spices liquid. Or slice against the grain for sliced beef.
- Serve warm on buns with the aujus dipping sauce, or serve in tacos, vegetable soup, stroganoff etc...
- When saving leftovers, put the beef and enough liquid to cover in a container to refrigerate.
