Hello! I’m Janet Quinlan and married to Michael for 37 years. We have 7 grown children – 3 of whom are married with families of their own. We’ve been blessed with 15 adorable, brilliant and perfect grandchildren (no grandma bias there!).
It’s Time to Reimagine Motherhood
What kind of motherhood do you want? If you find yourself in a motherhood that doesn’t bring you joy and peace, I can help you reimagine the motherhood you’ve always wanted.
Finding Joy in Motherhood deals with the whole woman – body, mind, and spirit – in the circumstances of her daily life.
Here you’ll find guidance and words of encouragement to nurture strong marriages and create orderly, joyful, faith filled homes.
I’ll give you practical tips to make caring for yourself, your family, and your home easier- without compromising refinement.
And I’ll also help you with your mindset – sorting through your thoughts and choosing the ones that serve you rather than the ones that bring you anxiety, anger, or discouragement.
I hope to challenge and encourage you to stretch beyond the comfort zone – beyond what you think you can manage and attain the life you dreamed of.
I was blessed to have a great mom and good mentors ahead of me on the journey. They gave me confidence. And rather than just commiserating with me on the difficulties of being a wife and mom (which gets no one anywhere), they helped me find what was really important in the day, what I had to let go of, and how to see the joys of my life in my growing family while not losing focus of the importance of attending to my marriage.
I hope you’ll find, on this blog and in my podcast, a positive message and tone. I’m so amazed and saddened at the negative messages that we’re all getting – even from people who seem to want to help. It’s almost as if you must buy into certain sad and distressed paradigms to be ‘normal’. I’d like to take away all the limiting beliefs the world is telling you about being a woman, a wife, a mother.
I have my BA in elementary education, taught in schools for 5 years, and homeschooled our 7 children for 14 years through the 8th grade, working hard to provide an environment that nurtured their creativity and the classics. I have been a speaker and coach on marriage, parenting, and education topics for 25 years.
Thank you for visiting! Feel free to email me with any questions or thoughts for future podcast episodes. janet@findingjoyinmotherhood.com

Do you have any marriage journals or gratitude journals that you would recommend?
Thank you!
